Visitor Information
The Los Cabos Tourism is in San Jose, located in the Plaza San Jose, locals 3 and 4. The English-language Los Cabos Guide, Los Cabos News, Cabo Life, and Baja Sun and the irreverent and extremely entertaining Gringo Gazette are distributed free at most hotels and shops, and have up to date information on new restaurants and clubs.
Information, Please--The many "visitor information" booths along the street in Cabo are actually timeshare sales booths, and their staffs will pitch a visit to their resort in exchange for discounted tours, rental cars, or other giveaways.
City Layout
The small town spreads out north and west of the harbor of Cabo San Lucas Bay, edged by foothills and desert mountains to the west and south. The main street leading into town from the airport and San José del Cabo is Lázaro Cárdenas; as it nears the harbor, Bulevar Marina branches off from it and becomes the main artery that curves around the waterfront.

Banks- Banks exchange currency during business hours, which are generally Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 2pm. There are several major banks on Zaragoza between Morelos and Degollado.

Hospital- Hospital General is at Retorno Atunero s/n, Col. Chamizal (tel. 624/142-0013).
Pharmacy- Farmacia ISSSTE, Carretera Transpeninsular Km 34, Plaza California Local 7, San José del Cabo (tel. 624/142-2645), is open daily from 8am to 8pm.
Post Office- The correo, Bulevar Mijares 1924, at Valerio González (tel. 624/142-0911), is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to noon.
